More armour and new way to reveal enemies: The two upcoming Perks are set to change the meta in Warzone

Has the eternal era of Ghost Perks finally come to an end? Activision has announced two new Perks for Warzone for the upcoming Season 5. They may shake up the game a bit and provide new tactics.

Battle Scout and Hardened are set to change the meta

The next Season in Warzone will launch on August 12. Developer Activision announced all the changes in a detailed blogpost on Thursday. In it, the two new perks Battle Scout and Hardened are also explained.

The extras are exclusive to Warzone . With Battle Scout, the player receives battle information, hits an enemy in battle. The enemies are then briefly highlighted in orange and pinged. The perk also offers valuable information to your own team members, revealing the hiding places of enemies or providing reassurance as to whether there is danger nearby.

The second perk is Hardened, which changes the armour function in Warzone. Players are better protected by reinforced armour plates and only need two instead of three plates to be fully armoured.  It is also no longer possible to equip a third plate. Each armour plate can absorb 75 points of damage instead of 50, but if the perk is chosen, the slot for the second perk is sacrificed. In addition, it is still unclear how much time the operator needs to equip the heavy plates.

Raven Software plans for the two new extras to have a big impact on gameplay. According to the blog post, “Season 5 launches with two new extras to shake up the meta. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface of this update lies much more.”

Currently, Ghost is considered the preferred choice. This makes the player invisible to UAVs, radar drones and heartbeat sensors. Combat scouts in particular could now put an end to this.
