Gamers have been hoping for a Warzone update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for some time. But Activision denies rumours of an upcoming FOV slider in Season 5.

While some video games are already floating in technological next-gen heaven, Call of Duty: Warzone still has no update for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Several sources reported leaks in recent days predicting the update in the near future. But Activision denied the rumours on Wednesday.

FOV slider coming soon?

Gamers have been hoping for a new gaming experience for Warzone since the launch of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Most requested is a “Field of View Slider” (FOV). This is a tool to change the player view in the game by zooming in and out. The hope of the community seems to have been heard, if one believes the rumours that have been circulating in some portals and forums in recent days.

They say that with the upcoming Season 5, Activision will also implement the NextGen update, including the FOV slider. The reason for the theories were leaks such as the domain name “call-of-duty-bocw-warzone-season-five-patch-notes-next-gen-launch.”, which was found by a Twitter user.

Activision denies rumours

Hopes were dashed again, however. Activision, for example, contacted the site modernwarzoneand denied the rumours. While it was not explicitly said that definitely no more update will come. However, the domain and the theories about the FOV slider are wrong. It is currently not known when an update will be released.
