PUBG Mobile continues to battle a host of hackers: developer Tencent bans over 3.8 million users in one week.
Tencent has banned over 3.8 million accounts in PUBG Mobile within a week for cheating. As the developer from China announced via Twitter on Sunday, the number of banned cheaters refers to the period from 18 to 24 June.
Tencent regularly publishes updates on how many accounts are blocked for cheating. Despite the seemingly massive number of the latest wave of bans, account suspensions in the millions are not uncommon in PUBG Mobile. The game has already been struggling with a large number of hackers since its release in 2017, and PUBG Mobile now has over a billion downloads. The use of cheats varies. In addition to aimbots, wallhacks and speedhacks, over 75 per cent of players have been banned for changing their character model. According to the developer, cheating is common in higher tiers of the game.
Here is a list of the various cheats used by the banned accounts in the past week:
– Character modification (76%)
– Wallhack – Players could see through walls. (5%)
– Speed hack (5%)
– Ambient damage modification (4%)
– Automatic aiming (2%)
– Other (8%).

The number of suspended accounts increased from 2.5 million to 3.8 million compared to last week. Tencent is still actively trying to crack down on fraud and recently posted a video on Twitter. In it, the developer explained how to report other players suspected of cheating
