The gaming scene isn’t celebrating a holiday right now, but rather a digital festival: The Epic Games Store is giving away two top titles as part of its ongoing Mega Sale. Until June 12, discounts on blockbusters will be available, but the free download of two completely different games – for zero dollars – is particularly worthwhile.

Epic Games Store surprises with a double whammy

First deal: Fans of crazy loot fun and absurd fantasy action should grab Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands This Borderlands spin-off moves shooting and looting to Tiny Tina’s imaginative tabletop world. Knights, dragons, and magic meet familiar cel-shaded gunplay, promising up to 30 hours of gameplay. The title is already impressing with its colorful environments and a skill system that makes hero-building dreams come true.

But if you’re looking for a darker atmosphere, you’ll find the perfect counterpart. Limbo from 2010 has defended its indie cult status without much effort. The minimalist black-and-white look, combined with brilliant sound design, creates an oppressive atmosphere. Tricky puzzles and eerie encounters, such as with a monstrous spider, will get even experienced players’ pulses racing.

Both games are available to download for free until June 5 at 4:59 p.m. If you hurry and grab your copies now, you’ll be adding some awesome fantasy fun and an atmospheric classic to your library. But that’s only half the surprise:

Why you need to act NOW

There’s a strategy behind this promotion: Epic is luring new users with high-quality gifts. But the spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was only recently on sale and has already sold extremely well in the Epic Exclusive model – a sign of how strongly the community is responding. At the same time, Limbo is celebrating its resurrection as a milestone in the indie genre, which continues to enjoy popularity.

The free promotion has paid off for Epic: downloads are skyrocketing and the platform is seeing increased traffic. At the same time, the developer studios are benefiting from increased visibility and a growth in players who may later support DLCs or new projects. Such win-win collaborations are rarely seen in this form on competing platforms such as Steam.

For you, this means two completely different gaming worlds are opening up at no cost. Seize the opportunity before the clock strikes midnight on June 5. The next surprises are already planned for the following week, so check back regularly and don’t miss out!
