The galactic war in Helldivers 2 continues unabated. A fan video now vividly illustrates the progress made, the losses suffered, and how the front line has changed.

In Fallout, they say that war is always the same, but in Helldivers 2, it never ends. Since its release, Super Earth has been fighting relentlessly against the mechanical automatons and insect-like Terminites, and in all that time, the battlefield has changed significantly.

Planets have been liberated, conquered, and destroyed. And countless Helldivers, i.e., the players, have died in battle in the name of democracy. A devoted soldier of Super Earth has now taken the time to summarize the events of the war in a time-lapse video.

The star map from Helldivers 2 can be seen. The planets highlighted in blue are controlled by humans, while orange represents the Terminites’ territory and red is under the control of the Automatons.

The trained, democratic eye will also recognize one or two major events in the video: For example, the Automatons were banished from the star map quite early onand apparently destroyed, only to return a few days later significantly stronger.

Also the great battle for Meridia can be seen: The once beautiful blue planet was conquered by Terminites, and the Helldivers tried for days to regain control. But their efforts failed, Meridia was completely destroyed, and now nothing remains but a black hole where an entire planet once stood. The loss is recorded in the video at 0:54 in the upper right corner of the star map.

The comments are unanimous: the creator of the post has done democracy a great service. Sugar_bytes writes: This is the content I’m here for.

But there are also voices that take different information from the time-lapse video. Calm-Worldliness-234 fears that we are slowly but surely losing the war. The loyal Helldiver Magic_Trash_Can immediately corrects: We will not lose the war. The Ministry of Defense is using tactical retreats to weaken the enemy […].

Objectively speaking, however, it is quite noticeable that the blue areas on the star map are significantly smaller than they were two years ago. Nevertheless, there are still victories to celebrate, such as at Malevelon Creek. Among players, it is also known as Space Vietnam. You can find out more about the event in the news above.
