Crossovers are currently all the rage in video games. Not only in multiplayer shooters like Call of Duty or Fortnite, but also in fighting games, characters from completely different universes are competing more and more often. In Mortal Kombat 1, you can now take out Ghostface from Scream with the T-1000 from Terminator.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves takes it one step further… with a soccer ball. When the game is officially released on April 24, not only will familiar faces such as Terry Bogard or Billy Kane be among the initial roster of fighters, but Cristiano Ronaldo will also be joining the party. This is no April Fool’s joke. You can see it in the trailer above. It really is about the multiple World Footballer of the Year and European Champion, who is now ending his career in Saudi Arabia.

CR7 storms onto the field as a guest character in Fatal Fury and takes on real fighting machines here. To do so, he primarily uses his most dangerous weapon: his feet. But of course, Ronaldo’s enemies also occasionally get a ball thundered into their faces. A bit like Detective Conan, with gelled hair. When Ronaldo has won a victory, he celebrates with a well-groomed “Siuuu!”
