Split Fiction: Hazelight Studios opt for Steam Native and Steam Deck verification

With their new cooperative adventure , Hazelight Studiosare causing a stir. The game will not only support Steam Native, but will also be verified for the Steam Deck. This means that players can enjoy the experience on the go without any technical restrictions. The studio recently shared this news on X, making many fans happy.

Co-op fun without restrictions

Split Fiction promises a unique co-op experience that not only features exciting gameplay mechanics but is also highly accessible. Starting March 6, Steam and Steam Deck users can immerse themselves in the imaginative worlds of Mios and Zoe, who move through sci-fi and fantasy scenarios. The friends pass is particularly noteworthy: it allows two players to experience the adventure together without both of them having to own the game. This makes platform- and location-independent gaming the standard.

Not only the Steam Deck will benefit from an optimized version. PC players and will also benefit from features such as ultrawide monitor support and extensive accessibility options. These include customizable inputs, skipable checkpoints, and adjustable damage modifiers to customize the gaming experience.

Technical finesse and pre-download

In addition to the accessible cooperative mechanics, Split Fiction also offers impressive technical implementation. On the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the game will run at a dynamic 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, while the Xbox Series S offers a solid performance of 1080p at 60 FPS.

PC gamers can also look forward to detailed system requirements that Hazelight and EA have published in a blog post. Those who want to get the game immediately can already pre-download it on all platforms to get started on March 6.
