In recent years, Disney has only produced moderately useful CGI versions of its former animated classics. But if you long for the glory days of animated cartoons, the platformer Bye Sweet Carole might be just the thing for you.Because the game’s art style is unmistakably “inspired by the best animated films of all time”, at least that’s what the developers say.

Set in early 1900s England, you control young Lana Benton as she sets out to find her best friend Carole.Along the way, she uncovers the dark truth behind the Bunny Hall orphanage The deeper Lana delves into the mystery, the more she finds herself caught between the real world and the fantastical kingdom of Corolla, which is in danger of perishing under the cruel influence of its tyrannical rulers.

Bye Sweet Carole is scheduled to be released on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in 2025.

PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S
