New Expansion Pass for Age of Wonders 4 revealed – the first DLC is already here, with three more to follow

Paradox Interactive has presented the new Expansion Pass 2 for the strategy game. The roadmap extends well into the fall of 2025.

Paradox Interactive has released a second expansion pass for the strategy game Age of Wonders 4 The pass includes a total of four new DLCs and is now available for PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The Expansion Pass 2 costs 50 euros, the first expansion, Herald of Glory, is available now.


Roadmap until the 3rd quarter of 2025

The other three expansions are scheduled to be released in the coming months. We will list below what the developers have planned in the current roadmap under

Herald of Glory (available now):The DLC includes new unique items and a new society feature.

Ways of War (November 5, 2024):The expansion is quite extensive and introduces, among other things, the Oathsworn culture. This means that you can swear various oaths and be rewarded for adhering to the ethos associated with each one.

In addition, you can now strengthen your faction with powerful ape and ogre units. There are also new intrigue events and four new books that provide you with new units for the spells of inner strength and outer destruction.

Giant Kings (Q2 2025, 20 euro standalone price): This DLC and the Archon Prophecy expansion will also be available to purchase individually. Giant Kings introduces the new Giant faction, adding handcrafted map regions and new housing. This DLC will also be available to purchase individually for 19.99 euro.

Archon Prophecy (Q3 2025, $24.99/€20):This DLC includes a new civilization, new prophecy events, and new story content.

Shortly after the release, the developers released the first Expansion Pass for Age of Wonders 4.This also included four DLCs at the time: Dragon Dawn, Empires & Ashes, Primal Fury and Eldritch Realms.

For Expansion Pass 2, the developers announced that the individual expansions would again be flanked by free updates.
