Dragon Age: The Veilguard: EA reveals many details about the PC technology and releases new trailer

With native Steam support and graphics features, EA wants to convince PC gamers of Dragon Age: The Veilguard

After EA published the official system requirements for Dragon Age: The Veilguard a few days ago,the publisher is now dedicating a large blog post to the technology of the PC version.

In it, EA reveals that the PC version of the game has been tested the most with over 200,000 hours. In addition, there are almost 10,000 hours of tests in which the operation via mouse, keyboard and controller was tuned.

In detail:

A new trailershows what Dragon Age: The Veilguard looks like on PC with ray-tracing.

Changes to most graphical settings are displayed in real time. This should make it easier for players to optimize the graphics according to their own preferences.

The seamless use of mouse, keyboard and controller should also be of interest to many players. EA reveals that you can switch at any time without delay, for example to work with the mouse and keyboard in menus, but with a controller in the game.

You can also remove the frame rate limit on fast systems and make the following graphical settings on all PCs:

EA also talks about the Steam version of the game in the blog entry. This does not require an EA account and can be played on both PCs and the Steam Deck

In addition, EA supports the Steam Cloud, so you can switch between PC and Steam Deck while playing.

First tests will show how smoothly Dragon Age: The Veilguard will run on certain PCs. These should be available from October 31, 2024, the day of release.
