In light of the upcoming release of Black Myth: Wukong, Game Science released the final trailer this morning. It shows the fast-paced, action-packed gameplay and the various transformations of the protagonist.

The long wait will soon be over. In just under two weeks, Black Myth: Wukong will finally be released for PC and consoles. To reignite the hype for the upcoming release, developer studio Game Science has released the final trailer today. It focuses primarily on the action-packed, fast-paced battles that we get to fight in the role of Sun Wukong.

The gameplay scenes show that we can make various changes to the protagonist in Black Myth: Wukong. For example, we seem to be able to equip the protagonist’s fighting staff with a fire buff. In addition, the monkey itself seems to be able to perform some transformations. The video shows the protagonist with tentacles, the stature of a gorilla and an insect head.
The developers are thus closely following the original story, in which Sun Wukong can transform both his staff and himself

The long wait is finally over

Four years ago now, the Chinese development studio Game Science Black Myth: Wukong was announced for the first time. Every few months, the studio had spoken out with trailers and humorous videos to give the community updates on the development status.
A major milestone finally came in December last year when the studio finally announced the release date. Since then, videos and updates on the action adventure game have been released at regular intervals.

Black Myth: Wukong is based on the Chinese novel “The Journey to the West”. The story tells of the journey of a Buddhist monk and his companions (including Wukong) to obtain the sacred scriptures of Buddha. Although the novel is now several hundred years old, it has stood the test of time and is still widely known today, especially in Asia.
