At the gamescom opening night live 2023 showcase, the sequel to one of the best shooters of all time was announced.

The wave-based first-person shooter Killing Floor 2 is now seven years in the making. At the gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, the third part of the successful shooter has now been announced.

What does the trailer show?

The trailer shows how monsters are bred in a futuristic laboratory and then mechanically upgraded to killing machines. Afterwards we see a short gameplay clip in which a player tries to defend himself against the monsters, or rather the zeds. But the best thing is to see for yourself:

While the beginning is strongly reminiscent of the Tyrants from Resident Evil, the gameplay clip could almost be from Doom. It is not yet known when the game will be released. Only that it will be released for PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

What is Killing Floor anyway?

In Killing Floor you face waves of enemy hordes together with your friends and fight for your survival. In between, you’ll always have the chance to buy new weapons, equipment and upgrades. What you buy with your hard-earned money should be carefully considered, because in addition to the hordes, you will also have to face grotesque bosses.

What do you think of the trailer? Have you played Killing Floor 1 or 2? If so, what did you think of them? What do you expect from the sequel? What features would you like to see and what do you think should be improved from the predecessors? And which features would you like to see stay? We are very interested in your opinion, so feel free to write it in the comments!
