After the rumours about CoD 2021, the name Vanguard is now certain. The game is said to be closely interwoven with Warzone from the start
Well-known CoD leaker Tom Henderson has released some new info on Vanguard’s upcoming Warzone integration. This is not officially confirmed information, but in the past Henderson has uncovered reliable news.
For example, the larger map will not necessarily accommodate more players, but the more expansive terrain of the Pacific map should make for more varied combat. There will be ships, tanks and planes to fight with.
But don’t panic: Henderson also says that the powerful vehicles will probably only appear in LTMs (limited time modes) and so won’t interfere with your classic Warzone experience.
Destructible Environments
Another new feature is to be destructible environments. However, these are not buildings that completely collapse, but rather walls into which you can shoot peepholes. Small trees and similar objects in the environment will also be destructible.
In addition, there is already an overview of the POIs on the new map. Some of the names should already be familiar to you from Verdansk. We don’t yet know whether these are actually remakes of the familiar locations. However, some of these names have already changed again.

Coinciding with the release of the Battlefield 2042 trailer, there is also new information on the upcoming Call of Duty. CoD Vanguard, developed by Sledgehammer Games, is to be released this year after all, despite all the rumours. Nevertheless, the title is not to be seen at E3, as the website VGC reports.

Like Black Ops: Cold War, the new game is to be teased with live events in the Battle Royale Warzone. But not only that: already with the release of Vanguard, Verdansk is to be completely replaced by a new and larger map set in the Pacific.
In keeping with the size and setting, water battles will probably also play a major role. So far, these have been completely absent from Verdansk.
Same engine as Modern Warfare
Vanguard is said to run on the same engine as Modern Warfare 2019, on which Warzone is also based. This should make the integration of the new title much smoother than it was with Cold War.
