Detective Pikachu Returns is getting a sequel a full seven years after its predecessor. Set in Ryme City, where humans and Pokémon live together, it follows the adventures of Master Detective Pikachu and his human partner Tim Goodman as they go in search of his father.

The focus of the game is, of course, solving cases and investigating incidents. But you don’t just solve them in pairs, you also get help from other Pokémon such as Fukano, which can track down suspects, and Flampivian, which can deliver powerful blows.

Detective Pikachu Returns will be released on October 6, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
