The video game adaptations don’t stop after CastlevanieCyberpunk Edgerunners and Co. Now Netflix may already be devoting itself to the next prestige project. The hard-hitting legendary Dark Souls!

So now Netflix wants to make a Dark Souls anime that will bring the dark fantasy world of the acclaimed FromSoftware trilogy to life. The news comes from (GiantFreakingRobot) and suggests that Netflix is working exclusively to produce this epic anime, which will initially focus on the events of the first game.

Although no official announcement has been made yet, the portal’s track record in the past lends credence to the rumours. After all, they have already been right about several movie and series titles, such as the role of Karl Urban in Mortal Kombat 2

Should the speculations prove true, Netflix would have another high-profile animated series up its sleeve alongside the Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation and Castlevania: Nocturne. But that’s not all, because another video game blockbuster, the animated Far Cry adaptation “Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix”, is also about to be released and is expected to thrill viewers this autumn. We haven’t heard anything about the Bioshock movie in a while, though.

In the future, Netflix probably wants to get more involved in the anime and video game conversion market. We gamers will be happy if the end products are good.
