In the future, you won’t be tweeting at Twitter, as several media outlets unanimously report (including (TechCrunch and The Verge), Elon Musk is renaming the social network.
The new name is X.
The bird becomes a letter
The logo will also have to go: Until an official new sign is found, an X will temporarily represent the social network instead of the blue bird.
At around 12am, Musk began tweeting about the renaming. It began with a tweet saying: Soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually to all birds
, followed by a second tweet in which he added: If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we will go live globally tomorrow
Musk didn’t say any more for now, tweeting cryptic messages like this.
