The strategy game Humankind has released a new DLC this week. For a short time you can even get it completely for free on Steam.

Good news for all fans of strategy games: The Civilization rival Humankind has not only received (a big update including Steam Workshop) this week, but also a new DLC called Para Bellum released. And if you”re quick, you can even grab it completely free on Steam right now.

This is what”s in the free new DLC

Para Bellum is a rather small DLC, with which six new wonders find their way into the game, which with their bonuses should be especially exciting for militarists.

You can expect a new building per game epoch:

  • Stables of Pi-Ramses: The city of Pi-Ramesses became the capital of Egypt during the reign of Ramses II in the 14th century BC. The Pharaoh”s stables were the headquarters of the king”s chariots and could house up to 460 horses.
  • Colosseum: The Amphitheatrum Flavium remained the largest Roman structure until the end of the Empire. The Colosseum was surrounded by gladiatorial schools.
  • Citadel of Alamut: The Citadel of Alamut, built in the 9th century on a spectacular rocky outcrop, was captured by Hassan as-Sabbah in 1090. Under his rule, this remote fortress became the center of the Ismaili Nizari state.
  • Hôtel des Invalides: The Hôtel des Invalides was built at the end of the 17th century by order of the French King Louis XIV. It was intended as a shelter for the many wounded soldiers and veterans in need and included rooms, dining rooms, and its own hospital for its residents.
  • Kaiserliche Werft: Founded in 1869, the Kaiserliche Werft in Wilhelmshaven was the largest German shipyard specializing in the construction of warships. At the turn of the 20th century, its nearly 20,000 workers built some of the largest warships of the era.
  • The Pentagon: The Pentagon was built during World War II. It is an administrative building that houses the United States Department of Defense. More than 20,000 employees coordinate the missions of the nation”s 1.3 million active duty military personnel.

How can I get the DLC for free? To be eligible for the offer, you must own Humankind on your Steam account. If you don”t own the game yet – it”s currently (80 percent off) and on sale for 10 Euros. After that, all you have to do is go to the (Steam Shop page of the DLC

Here you click on the green Add button, and the mini-expansion will land in your game collection at no additional cost. However, you have to be quick: The promotion only runs until May 10, 2023 at 4pm. If you fail to grab it by then, you will have to pay three euros for Para Bellum.
