SEGA and RGG Studio today release Like a Dragon: Ishin! The samurai epic is set to be a spin-off of the popular Yakuza (Like a Dragon) series and promises to be a madcap journey through time.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a historical adventure game that takes you to Kyoto in the 1860s. You take on the role of Sakamoto Ryoma and go to the city to find your father’s murderer. But that’s not all. You must also prove your own innocence and restore your honour. Your actions will herald the end of the samurai and change the future of Japan forever.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! complements its 2014 Japan-exclusive predecessor with localisation, brand new content, high-quality revamped graphics and enhanced features for modern platforms in Unreal Engine 4.

In addition, various fighting styles await you, with which you can deal out a good beating in the streets of Kyoto. Along with this, you can collect soldier cards and increase their level to get temporary power-ups or special abilities like new attacks or stats boosts. Star guests like wrestling icon Kenny Omega, actor Rahul Kohli and many more have guest appearances in the game via these cards. All of the soldier cards from these guest appearances are available for download as free content on all platforms worldwide.

The Digital Standard Edition of Like a Dragon: Ishin! is available for €59.99, while you can purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition for €69.99. You can find more information on the (official website)
