Riot has published an image of Agent 22 and started speculation. Here”s what we already know about the VALORANT newcomer!
Riot has revealed plans for three new agents in VALORANT in 2023. One of them has even been teased – with a picture of his feet.
VALORANT is constantly getting new content. After the release of Agent Harbor in Episode 5 and the Map Lotus at the start of Episode 6, players can look forward to the next character.
Foot pictures suggest origin
The teaser was featured in a video of character producer John Goscicki talking about the development status of VALORANT characters

But only the agent”s feet are shown in the superimposed picture. Not much can be deduced from these apart from his style of dress. However, details in the picture could contain further clues.
The community is betting on a Latin American origin of the agent. The architecture shown and the designation of Brimstone as “Beard Papi” (“Papi” is a term used in Spanish to express affection for a male person), probably points to this.
Is there a little friend?
Watchful VALORANT players could spot another interesting detail in the teaser image. Agent 22 could have a little helper in his repertoire of skills.
The bubble tea standing on the floor next to Agent 22 seems to be the object of desire of a little friend. Two animal-like arms reach there for the purple drink.
Duelist, initiator, sentinel, controller?
We can only speculate about the role of Agent 22 as well. In the “State of the Agents” only the roles of two of the three new agents were revealed: An Initiator and a Sentinel.
Whether Agent 22 is one of them is not mentioned. Goscicki”s further words, however, suggest a new initiator.
Agent 22 has “his own way of dealing with situations”. He is said to have new ways of “checking corners, getting onto sites and getting an overview of the chaos”. Friends could help with this – a possible clue to the little helper in the picture.
Hints on more agents
There is even more information about future VALORANT content. The well-known leaker “ValorLeaks” revealed the code name of a planned agent. “SmokeDancer” is the name of this agent. The name suggests another controller.
Since Agent 22 is already well advanced in development, SmokeDancer is said to be one of the other two agents announced for this year.
