The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR to be released in March

Supermassive Games has announced that The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR will not be released in the PlayStation VR2 release period. Instead, they have set a mid-March release date.

The horror games from Supermassive Games convince with their atmospheric horror. But soon this horror will take on a new form – with the help of virtual reality. Actually, the new game should have been released together with the PlayStation VR2 system on 22 February. But in (a message to the community) they now had to announce the release postponement. The newly set release date is March 16

The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR can be seen as a recap of all the games in the first season, where you will encounter old familiar enemies and locations from the previous titles. However, through the technology of PlayStation VR2, this time you get up close and personal with the gruesome monsters.

Supermassive Games” horror games are best known for their ability to quickly dig your own grave as a player. Switchback VR implements this tradition with more than just making decisions. Because the PlayStation VR2 system is able to sense the blink of your eyes, your surroundings can change with every blink. A recently released video gives you an idea of this.

Alongside The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, the second season of the anthology is already in the works.
