A hair’s breadth away from death while reenacting a legendary movie scene: A Reddit clip from Call of Duty: Warzone has unintentional similarities with the cult film Matrix

Reddit user BigDannyK has delivered an action-packed play with his friends in Call of Duty: Warzone; He piloted a helicopter with his team for a short battle towards a skyscraper and flew straight on – without collecting his remaining teammates again. Accordingly, the surprised pilot had to make a U-turn and pick up his colleague again from the embattled high-rise.

When he tried to get his teammate Sam out of the hail of bullets, the scenic similarity to the rescue of Morpheus from the science fiction film “Matrix” was striking. But don’t worry: just like in the blockbuster, the Warzone protagonist also managed redemption at the last second: Sam mastered the jump from the skyscraper into the protective helicopter and was able to escape with his team.

For those who don’t remember the cult film from 1999: Trinity and Neo also free the imprisoned and chained Morpheus from a skyscraper with a helicopter. Trinity flies the device in front of the window behind which Morpheus is trapped. Neo, meanwhile, makes short work of the windows with a mini-gun. However, Morpheus was shot by the opponents during the escape and therefore cannot jump properly. Neo throws himself at him and pulls him to safety.
