What actually happened before the events surrounding Cloud Strife? That’s what Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is looking into. The remaster of the thrilling PSP adventure game now presents its launch trailer.

Square Enix has taken it upon itself to give the Final Fantasy VII titles a reboot. The first was Final Fantasy Remake Integrade, which was released in 2020. Now it continues with the prequel, which gives us more information about the setting. Although the official release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is still another two weeks in the future, Square Enix already presents the launch trailer.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion takes place seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII. In this instalment, you take on the role of Shinra-SOLDIER Zack Flair, who suddenly faces a huge crisis. Suddenly it’s up to him to uncover the dark secrets of Shinra and take on vicious monsters.
Apart from this exciting plot, which is peppered with gripping as well as fast-paced real-time battles, you will meet old acquaintances such as Aerith or Cloud.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be released on 13 December for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
