Early Christmas present: The Witcher 3 will be released on PS5 & Xbox Series

CD Projekt Red announced last night that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in mid-December. The Complete Edition is also to receive a next-gen update, which will not only consist of all the expansions. New content related to the series is also to be presented.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer. On 14 December, a next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Those who have already purchased the acclaimed title in advance will receive the upgrade for free. Among the dozens of visual and technical improvements are said to include ray tracing, faster loading times and a variety of mods. Fans should also be able to look forward to new content themed around the Netflix series.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition will also receive a next-gen upgrade. This includes not only the base game, but also all DLCs and the two major expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine The Complete Edition will initially be available digitally only, with the release date of a physical version to be announced at a later date.

More details are to be announced over the next week when CD Projekt Red holds a livestream via (Twitch) . During the stream, the first gameplay material of the next-gen versions will also be shown.
