The Worlds 2022 are entering the hot phase and only eight teams are still fighting for the title. These are the best rosters of the tournament.

The group stage of the Worlds 2022 is over and the teams are preparing for the matches in the quarter-finals. But even before the matches begin, there are already clear favourites. We show you which of the remaining teams are the strongest.

8. DRX

DRX entered the Worlds as the fourth team of the LCK, i.e. the Korean league. However, while the LCK is often considered extremely strong, the European team Rogue also managed to beat them in the first week. Nevertheless, they proved in the second week that they should not be underestimated. As a result, they ended up in first place in their group. However, this was considered relatively easy.

7th Rogue

The last team of the LEC, the European league, is Rogue. They even managed to win the LEC in the last split, which is why the expectations towards the team were quite high. Especially at the start of the group stage Rogue showed an impressive performance, which even made them 3-0 out of the first week. However, they seemed to drop off a lot in the second week, which is why they just managed to qualify in the end with a score of 4-3. If the team fails to pull it together again, their upcoming match against JD Gaming could be over sooner than expected.

6. RNG

Royal Never Give Up or RNG entered the tournament in fourth place in the Chinese league, the LPL. The team finished the group stage with five wins, which put them in second place. However, this means they will now have to face T1 in the quarter-finals, which will be a big challenge for the team.

5. Edward Gaming

EDG didn’t make it to first place in their group, but still managed to fight their way to second place with four wins over Fnatic and Cloud9. The Chinese team includes star players like Park “Viper” Do-hyeon, but have not yet been able to show their full potential.

4. DWG KIA

DWG KIA managed to win the Worlds in 2020 and have that goal again this year. Although they only made it to second place in their group, however, first place was also JD Gaming, so definitely a strong opponent. Although they made it out of the group stage with five wins and two losses, fans’ expectations towards DWG KIA have not yet been met.

3. T1

T1 has also made it out of the group stage of the Worlds once again. With only one loss, the team also seems to be on top form, especially since they also beat defending champions Edward Gaming in their group. In addition, T1 has players like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong in their team, all of whom are known to excel.

2nd Gen.G

Gen.G is the winner of the LCK, the Korean league. Accordingly, they were also convincing in the group stage with six wins and one defeat. The team is feared especially because of players like Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and Han “Peanut” Wang-ho.

1. JD Gaming

JD Gaming are the winners of the Chinese league LPL and impressed again in the group stage. With players like Bai “369” Jia-Hao, they made it to the quarterfinals with just one loss. Their next match will be against LEC representatives Rogue, where many fans are already expecting the Win. Expectations against JD Gaming are even higher though, as some believe they could win the entire Worlds.

While this tier list gives a good overview, you can never be sure how the Worlds will end up. If you want to watch them, you can either do so on the (Riot Games Twitch channel).
