Riot Games has announced that there will be no patch 2.10 for VALORANT. There’s a reason for that.

Riot Games announced on Twitter the decision to skip VALORANT patch 2.10. Such a scenario happens for the first time, but is already known from League of Legends. The next update in VALORANT will thus take place with patch 2.11, which will be released in June.

This unusual step has been justified by Riot Games on Monday: “We have to regularly update the engine for our game. Due to the nature of these updates, we want to give ourselves enough testing time and a stabilisation period before we release them to you. So there will be no patch 2.10. The next update will be patch 2.11, around 8 June. ”

According to the statement, because Riot Games are optimising the VALORANT engine, releasing a patch at the moment could be too risky and lead to unforeseen problems. Accordingly, to avoid complications, the developer and publisher is choosing a straightforward path.

Another reason for the measure could be the upcoming Stage 2 Masters event of the VALORANT Champions Tour in Reykjavik. The final round starts on 24 May and thus at the same time of the originally planned patch. By preventing an update, there will be no complications in the highlight tournament.

On the other hand, Riot Games is busy fixing Agent Yoru’s bug. He can teleport into the pyramids on the new map Breeze with his Gatecrash ability and thus causes unwanted trouble. In the game client, Riot Games has announced that both Yoru and Breeze will be removed from competitive play indefinitely until a solution is found. The map is likely to be removed not only because of the Yoru bug. However, an exact reason for this is missing.
