Indie developer and publisher Rebellion released the first DLC for Sniper Elite 5 yesterday afternoon. This contains a new mission as well as a weapon pack and is available on all available platforms.

Two months after the release of Sniper Elite 5, developer Rebellion presents the first DLC. This consists of the brand new mission Landing Force, which is based on the feature film “The Guns of Navarone”. The Nazis have emplaced a battery of guns on an island off the coast of southern France, which prevents the Allies from invading southern France. Now it is up to Karl Fairburne to destroy these weapons under cover of darkness. A variety of buildings, scenery and landscapes await you on the island. In addition, old ruins, forts, walls and abandoned buildings invite you to explore. Find out more in the (official announcement).

Besides that, the new DLC offers you an expansion of Sniper Elite 5’s arsenal of weapons. The D.L. Carbine for example, is one of the quietest rifles ever developed. With this weapon, you upgrade your stealth game and can silently take out enemies. The PPSH  is a powerful submachine gun. Its projectiles are extremely highly accelerated, making it the perfect companion in dicey situations.

New free content in multiplayer

The multiplayer mode of Sniper Elite 5 also receives an update. As of now, the new map Flooded Village is available for free. This map is inspired by footage of D-Day in Normandy, when the Nazis opened floodgates and broke through flood defences to keep the Allies at bay. The map features lowlands, flooded houses, a railway bridge and a dam, as well as ideal vantage points for snipers.

The new Landing Force mission and weapon pack are part of Sniper Elite 5’s Season One Pass, with three more pieces of content to be released. If you don’t want to buy the Season One Pass for just under 35 euros, you can buy the DLC for just under 15 euros.
