Illfonic presents the first gameplay material of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed in cooperation with GameInformer. This provides us with the first glimpses of the co-op work as ghost hunters.

Welcome to jail! The first gameplay video we see for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed takes place behind bars in a prison. Three Ghostbusters are equipped with the iconic weapons from the films and give a ghost a run for his money. The ghost does his best to teach unsuspecting prison inmates to be creeped out and escape the clutches of his hunters. His eerie skillset includes the ability to take possession of other objects. For example, he can roll around inconspicuously in a wheelchair.

The Ghostbusters, for their part, must always have their weapons ready and agree as a team how they will close in on the ghost. Once it is weakened, they can capture it and thus emerge victorious from this round.
As the gameplay footage shows, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed offers an asynchronous cat-and-mouse game. While long-time fans can enjoy the iconic look and familiar weapons, newcomers will get a change of pace from other games of this kind like Dead by Daylight.

Illfonic is still holding back on a release date. Until we know about a date, we reveal more details about the gameplay of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. The game will be released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
