The CoD developers have released a trailer via Twitter that gives us a little taste of Modern Warfare 2.
Publisher Activision-Blizzard and developer Infinity Ward have released the first teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The short clip with real actors is meant to get you in the mood for the official gameplay reveal of the shooter on 8 June 2022. The video features some familiar faces from the elite Task Force 141 unit, which plays a major role in the MW franchise. Prominent faces in the trailer include, for example, the legendary Captain Price and Ghost.
Take the night off
After countless leaks about Modern Warfare 2, its game modes and a possible beta, a live action trailer has now been released via Call of Duty’s (official Twitter account), confirming the new CoD title’s reveal for 8 June at 10am Pacific time. In Germany, we can then look forward to the official Reveal from 7 p.m. and finally take a first look at the announced new era of Call of Duty. It has not been announced whether footage of Warzone 2 will also be on show.
Familiar and new faces
The latest trailer titled “The Ultimate Weapon Is Team” features the legendary Captain Price as well as Ghost and Soap from Task Force 141 getting ready to fight in an armoured vehicle as battle rages around them. After the vehicle stops, the team gets out and immediately start to join in. The area where the fighting takes place looks like a desert.
In a second trailer, streamer TimTheTatman can be seen taking the scope off his sniper rifle and joking around while driving. Whether the streamer, who is a big fan of the CoD franchise, will have a permanent place in Modern Warfare 2 remains to be seen. Professional basketball player Trae Young also made an appearance and even got his own teaser for it, as did (TimTheTatman).
