The Epic Store is offering Wolfenstein: The New Order for free. This follows the third week of top-notch shooters for free.

For the third week in a row, Epic is giving away strong fare for shooter fans: this time it’s Wolfenstein: The New Order’s turn. The reboot from 2014 lets you shoot up a bunch of sinister regime henchmen in the role of B.J. Blazkowicz.

How long is the action? You can get Wolfenstein: The New Order for free between 2 and 9 June 2022 at 17:00. If you grab the game within this time frame, you get to keep it permanently. You must have an Epic Games account.

This is what Wolfenstein: The New Order is all about

In the alternate 1960s of Wolfenstein: The New Order, the Third Reich has won World War II and now rules the world. In the German version, Nazi symbolism has been replaced by alternative symbols of the so-called regime.

Players slip into the role of the hero B.J. Blazkowicz, fight their way through many tube levels and shoot down rows of technically highly equipped regime henchmen. The story is supported by numerous cutscenes that give the game a certain cinematic touch.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a largely classic first-person shooter for single players. So players get a large arsenal of weapons, lots of enemies of all shapes and sizes, and a few sneaky passages here and there.

Who is it for?

Apart from the fact that Wolfenstein: The New Order is a competent first-person shooter: Above all, the scenario is also worthwhile for players who might not otherwise have much to do with shooting. Because the way Bethesda and Machine Games stage their alternative timeline can definitely leave a lasting impression.

However, you have to be prepared to do a lot of shooting. Wolfenstein: The New Order is therefore not really suitable for pure story and scenario sightseeing.
