According to several leaks, EA Sports is launching a new promo in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. This promo will bring upgrades for the FUT Heroes and more special versions to the game.

“This is going to be insane,” writes well-known FIFA leaker FUTZone on Twitter about the supposedly upcoming promo called “FUT Captains” in FIFA 22. In his post from Monday, the whistleblower, who is considered reliable, reported on the benefits of the online event in Ultimate Team.

FutZone announces “improved Hero cards with crazy stats” and an also  strong promo team as part of the FUT Captains promotion. “It’s set to kick off on Friday,” the leaker continued. Usually, FUT promos are always released by EA Sports on Friday from 7pm.

Judging by the Leaker’s enthusiasm, players with 90s overall ratings or better are expected. Especially the FUT Heroes, which were introduced for the first time in FIFA 22 and automatically generate a green link with all players in the same league, could thus rise significantly in the favour of the Spieler:innen. The most popular Heroes player by far so far is David Ginola, who was worth almost one million coins in January but has dropped to 250,000 coins over the past few months.

Accordingly, the FUT Captains will be represented by captains of European clubs who form a team in this promo. According to FUTZone, this includes the following players so far:

  • Koke – ZDM (Atletico Madrid)
  • Tyrone Mings – IV (Aston Villa)
  • Iker Muniain – LM (Athletic Bilbao)
  • Jordan Henderson – ZM (Liverpool FC)
  • Hugo Lloris – TW (Tottenham Hotspur)
  • Mark Noble – ZM (West Ham United)
  • Léo Dubois – RV (Olympique Lyon)
  • Liam Cooper – IV (Leeds United)
  • Wissam Ben Yedder – ST (AS Monaco)
  • Fabio Quagliarella – ST (Sampdoria Genoa)
  • Sergio Busquets – ZDM (FC Barcelona)

As in many promos of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team a Team 1 and a Team 2 should appear again. Among others, Sergio Busquets, who according to information from the Leaker will receive a “massive speed boost”, would end up in the latter. There are still a few names pending for the alleged promotion. There are currently no players from the Bundesliga on the insiders’ virtual list. However, a player like Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus would be an obvious choice to fill one of the open positions as an attacking midfielder.
