Developer Rebellion recently announced that the king of sniper games, Sniper Elite 5 will be released worldwide on Thursday, 26 May 2022.
The latest spin-off of the franchise is now available for pre-order. The title will be released simultaneously on (Xbox Game Pass), , Xbox Series X/S, (PlayStation) 4 & 5, the (Epic Games Store), (Steam) and the Windows Store. To celebrate the announcement, Rebellion is also releasing a brand new trailer.
What to expect in May with Sniper Elite 5
The new trailer reveals details about the plot and protagonist of Sniper Elite 5. Elite sniper Karl Fairburne uncovers Operation Krake – a plan to turn the tide of World War II for the Nazis. Karl must use all the skills at his disposal to gather information about the plan and foil it. In the process, he encounters the mastermind of the plan, Abelard Möller, an Obergruppenführer of the Axis powers who must be stopped at all costs.
Pre-Order Bonus
Players who pre-order Sniper Elite 5 will also receive the latest mission in the highly acclaimed “Target Führer” campaign, titled “Wolf Moutain”. The objective is to infiltrate Hitler’s private retreat on a mountain farm in the Bavarian Alps. The place is crawling with heavily armed bodyguards. However, there are also plenty of collectibles hidden there for eagle-eyed snipers. They are given the task of disarming the leader in the most imaginative way possible.
In addition, all pre-orderers will receive the P.1938 Suppressed Pistol. This powerful handgun is based on an experimental Special Forces prototype and is a must-have on any covert operation.
Deluxe Edition
Rebellion also reveals details on the Sniper Elite 5 Deluxe Edition: This not only includes pre-order content, but also the Season Pass. This gives players access to a two-part campaign after release. On expansive maps, they can equip themselves with an expanded arsenal of authentic World War II weapons and customise their sniper with new character packs and weapon skins.
