Hard West 2 continues a somewhat more unusual Wild West XCOM. The turn-based strategy game combines a setting around cowboys and gunslingers with a lot of supernatural stuff. This means that you lead a squad of bounty hunters and cutthroats into battle against both living and undead vermin. The first Reveal trailer now gets you in the mood for the story, which revolves around a ghost train, among other things.
Just like the first part, Hard West 2 wants to put a lot of emphasis on its story and characters and has hired the appropriate personnel. Actors like Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series), Darien Sills-Evans (Days Gone, League of Legends), Adam Gifford (The Colony, Batman: Hush) lend their voices to the characters. Jason Graves (Dead Space, Tomb Raider) is responsible for the background music, while Matt Forbeck (Deadlands) contributes to the story.
Hard West is still scheduled for release in 2022 for the PC, a beta phase is taking place from now until 7 April. More info can be found on the (official website) for the game by developer Ice Code Games and publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment.
