Developer BANDAI NAMCO Online and publisher BANDAI NAMCO Europe today announced GUNDAM EVOLUTION, which will be released in 2022 in Europe, North America and Japan for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. GUNDAM EVOLUTION – A mech online shooter of a special kind
BANDAI NAMCO Online is releasing the title on PC in the same regions, as well as other regions in Asia. GUNDAM EVOLUTION is the first free-to-play hero shooter in the series and features a 6-versus-6 team play dynamic with playable Mobile Suits from across the Gundam multiverse.
The game will feature three objective-based game modes: Score Capture, Domination and Destruction. The title offers a series of unique challenges that require teams to develop and execute formidable offensive and defensive strategies to come out on top.
Each playable unit in GUNDAM EVOLUTION has a combination of offensive, defensive and/or support abilities that can turn the tide of battle. The starting roster of playable characters includes 12 units, including the classic RX-78-2 GUNDAM and the ASW-G-08 GUNDAM BARBATOS. Additional Mobile Suits and customisable items can be unlocked in two ways: Capital Points (CP), which are collected through gameplay, or EVO Coins, which can be purchased in the real world.
Players who purchase a Season Pass will unlock additional cosmetic accessories throughout the game, including Mobile Shits skins, weapon skins and weapon charms.
GUNDAM EVOLUTION will be officially released in Europe on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC (Steam).
