Tymon Smektala, the lead designer of Dying Light 2, confirmed on Twitter that work is underway on a New Game Plus mode, among other things.

Many players have already reached the end of Dying Light 2 by now and have taken a certain path in the story. If you want to play the other endings and story sections, there’s currently no way around having to start a new game.

However, in response to a fan’s question on Twitter, the prospect has now been raised that a New Game Plus mode could soon be added to the game, allowing players to carry their fully equipped Aiden over into a new playthrough. However, the lead designer of Dying Light 2, Tymon Smektala, did not provide further details.

Better accessibility and an overhaul of blood and ragdoll physics

Even then we (in the test) noticed the barely existing accessibility options negatively, which mainly serve the accessibility for people with disabilities. So it is all the nicer that the lead designer now confirms that he will also tackle this construction site in the future. In the same breath, he also asked which features the fans would most like to see.

Among other things, the community suggested improving the ragdoll physics and some gore effects. In the meantime, there are already some mods that tackle exactly these problems:

* (Vaxis’s Gore Mod) makes sure that bodies don’t disappear so quickly as if by magic.

* (Physics Overhaul) reworks ragdoll physics and makes enemies go down more realistically.

When asked whether a revision of these representations is also being worked on from the official side, Tymon Smektala answered with a curt Yup. So we can expect some changes in this respect as well.

Now it’s your turn! What changes would you like to see in the future? Have you already finished the story and would you like to start over in a New Game Plus mode? Let us know in the comments
