The developers of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War have filed a patent that could make it easier for players to share their loadouts.

The game designer and director of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War has filed a patent that describes a new way to share your loadouts for the shooter. If this idea is realized, you will be able to share your configuration through social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Even professionals will be able to better show which loadouts they are using. Until now, CoD players have mostly shared their sets as screenshots. The new tool could bring some practical progress.

What exactly is behind the idea?
The patent explicitly refers to a method of sharing the weapon configuration in a multiplayer game via a social network. But not only should you be able to post the individual weapon attachments so conveniently, the loadout is passed on together with the performance statistics.

This way you can not only show which equipment you use in battle, but your friends can also copy and use it with a simple click. This way you would spend less time in Gunsmith if you find an interesting combination you want to recreate.

This method also allows you to save your loadouts externally, making it easier to switch between different configurations. According to the developer, this issue usually causes frustration for players.

Will more come out of the patent?
Companies often patent new ideas, even if they don’t ultimately implement them. So far, the developer has not officially announced the possibility of sharing your loadout as presented here. However, it would be a logical development of the Gunsmith system from Call of Duty, which was already introduced with Black Ops 3.

What is the developer currently doing?
Currently the studio is busy solving some serious problems with the game. After the big update 1.06, which also included the new Map Nuketown, many players complain about crashes or annoying errors. The developers are already working on it: Recently they listed 22 bugs they are currently working on. Above all, they want to fix the causes of crashes as quickly as possible.

At the same time the fight against cheaters is already in full swing. Already in the beta some users hacked. With the release these problems did not stop. How you get better in a legitimate way, we explain in the above linked guide.
