“Arcane” is a mega hit for Netflix – and so the streaming service has unexpectedly quickly announced the renewal for a second season. There is already a teaser.
Usually Netflix lets at least a month pass before deciding whether to renew a series. With “Arcane” it happened very quickly now. Only since yesterday, Saturday, 20 November 2021, the first season is completely online, last night the renewal was already announced, which of course was already decided before. And since the season is even already in production, this decision may have been made even earlier.
But after all, Netflix has known for some time that they have landed a hit here. The first episodes of the series based on the video game universe “League Of Legends” went online on 6 November and were immediately in high demand. No wonder: “League Of Legends” is, after all, one of the world’s most successful games and a brand that several hundred million people know.
VI AND CO. comes back
Netflix and the game company Riot Games, which is behind the template and is also involved in the series itself, did not want to reveal many details. However, it has already been announced that Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell☻ and Katie Leung will be back as voice actors for the original English version and that their characters Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn Kiramman will thus return.
