Just under an hour ago, Bandai Namco released the announced gameplay video for the fantasy RPG Elden Ring. This video material gives us a first impression of the epic setting and the different options for action that are available to us in this open world.

Welcome to the Netherland, the home of the epic fantasy title Elden Ring. The large map of this open world offers players who love to explore a vast terrain of almost unlimited possibilities. In the recently released gameplay scenes, we get to see this in more detail. In addition, we also get a first impression of the setting and learn about some of the game mechanics.

From battling giant dragons, to defeating smaller enemy squads, to epic skirmishes with select spirits at your side, Elden Ring offers fans of epic combat more than enough opportunities to prove their coast. Those who are not so keen on fighting can also often save themselves from battles by simply sneaking away from their opponents.
You will also encounter friendly characters in the world of Elden Ring. They can either ask you for help or support you on your missions. In addition, you can go into battle with and against your friends in the online mode.

Elden Ring: The Biggest Challenges

In addition to a sophisticated crafting system, any good RPG must of course have some form of dungeons. Many of these can be found on your forays through the interlands. From special riches to nasty bosses, the dungeons in Elden Ring offer familiar elements that should bring a smile to RPG fans’ faces. These dungeons undoubtedly bear the signature of Dark Souls developer Hidetaka Miyazaki and are designed to allow players the greatest possible variety of action.

One of the biggest challenges of Elden Ring, however, will be the Boss Fights against the Demigods. As overpowered beings and possessors of Elden Ring fragments, these will probably keep you busy for a while. But what else should you expect from the developer of the Dark Souls universe and the creator of the Red Wedding?

Elden Ring is due for release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation on 25 February 2022. Find out more on the (official website).
