The popular streaming service Netflix is expanding its offering and has launched a gaming app. This expands the experience of popular series like “Stranger Things”.

Netflix has now also entered the gaming industry and has launched the mobile app “Netflix Games”. For the time being, the app will only be available for Android operating systems, but iOS devices are to follow soon. A Netflix subscription is required to use the app.

Netflix also gave details of the first games. However, these are still limited to five titles, but some of them can also be played offline. In addition, they are exclusive titles that, according to Netflix, are offered completely free of advertising and without hidden costs. In terms of content, the games are partly based on the content of the platform. For example, two of the games are related to the hit series “Stranger Things”.

“With this, Netflix is building a game library that has something for everyone and gives our members the opportunity to dive even deeper into their favourite stories,” reads the official press release. The launch is “the first step in building a great gaming experience.” Accordingly, we can look forward to more game titles in the coming weeks and months.
