The 1.14 update for the survival game DayZ is live and brings many exciting new features – including particularly dangerous infested zones.
The post-apocalyptic zombie survival game DayZ has received its biggest content update of 2021. The update 1.14 has been live since the evening of 29 September 2021 and introduces numerous exciting new features – what they are and what else is in the patch notes, we reveal to you in this article.
DayZ Update 1.14 brings Stalker Feeling
Infested Zones: The biggest and most exciting new feature of Patch 1.14 might be the new Infested Zones, which can now appear anywhere in the fictional post-Soviet game world of Chernarus.
There are two types of these: Static zones stay in a fixed location and offer high-quality loot, while dynamic zones appear randomly and also significantly improve the loot in the affected area.

In addition to the Infested Zones, you can also expect the following new features:
New traps: For all hobby hunters, three new traps have been added, each of which can be used to catch a specific animal – a larger fish net trap, a small fish bottle trap and a snare trap. There is also a tripwire trap that is effective against other players.
LE-MAS Rifle: The new assault rifle uses 5.56 x 45 mm ammunition, offers a 25-round magazine and single, burst and automatic fire.
The biggest update of the year so far brings not only new features, but of course numerous balance adjustments, bug fixes and tech improvements.
