After the beta phase, there are still some improvements that developer Sledgehammer Games still needs to work on.

After the beta is before the release. Before Call of Duty: Vanguard will be available on November 5, there are still some construction sites for the developer studio Sledgehammer Games. We have summarised what still needs to be improved according to community feedback.

No more killer cuisine

One big problem so far has been the spawn points. Sometimes the players were thrown back into the action directly in front of their opponents. The “killer kitchen” in the Hotel Royal stood out in particular. Developer Sledgehammer promised to improve this in a blog entry from last week. In the post, the developer studio also addresses other points of improvement such as the too bright sun or a nerf of the “dognados”. We already reported on the blog entry and the background to the problems and bugs in this article.

Cheaters are already causing problems

Besides the points raised by the developer studio itself, however, the community criticised other aspects of the game. A particularly big one of these: cheaters. Already in the beta phase, the first players were again using aimbots and wallhacks, as we already reported.

A video by Twitter user EasyStomps even shows how a cheater apparently ended an online game by himself when he was caught cheating.

But what could be reassuring for beta testers:inside is that Activision’s new anti-cheat system will only be implemented into the game with the full version on 5 November. The community hopes, but is still sceptical, that this new system will really stop cheaters.

The balancing is still not right

Some perks and field upgrades still caused displeasure among the players. For example, the Armor Plates, which offer additional health and stamina in battles, were criticised as being too strong. This also sparked a general discussion about the usefulness of the field upgrades, as we reported.

Further, the community criticised that there were still some too strong combinations of weapons, ammunition or perks. For example, one could equip the perks Overkill and Ghost at the same time. This meant that you could carry two primary weapons with ten attachments and at the same time be protected from reconnaissance on the map. There was almost no way around this combination if you wanted to play at the top.

Sledgehammer Games emphasised at several points that the beta was only a snippet of the overall game. For the release on 5 November 2021, more maps, a zombie mode and the campaign should await the players in addition to the bug fixes.
