At gamescom 2021, a new feature was introduced that many beta players had wished for: Breeding cute offspring dragons!

Awww, how cute! In the game, we breed this little rascal to be our mount for battle.

Over 200,000 players have swung onto dragon backs and fought fiery aerial battles in the Century: Age of Ashes beta, apparently wishing for one thing above all else: babies!

At least that’s what the developers say, who announced a new feature at gamescom 2021 in the form of young dragons. At the very end of the new trailer, you can take a first look at the cute scaly animals:

At the same time, a concrete release date has finally been announced: Century will be available for free download from 18 November 2021. According to the studio, the additional time was used to include new features that fans would have liked to see in the closed beta.

The young fire-breathers in their nests were probably one of them: “Baby dragons were one of the most frequent player requests during the two Closed Beta phases, and Playwing is pleased to be able to give a taste of them now,” the makers write.

A new game mode was also announced, but details were not revealed yet. The following are available:

– Gates of Fire: Quasi Capture the Flag, two teams fight for the possession of a flag

– Carnage: Team Deathmatch in 6vs6 format and power-ups to collect on the map

– Spoils of War: New game mode with focus on tactics and teamwork

By gaining combat experience, you can hatch new dragons in Century and customise both classes and mounts with skins and cosmetic items. Playwing assures that this will have no effect on the game balance: All real-money purchases are purely visual, says the studio.
