The World Update 6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released on September 7, 2021 and revises large parts of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. There is also a new aircraft making their way into the sim with the update. We start with the changes on the world map and then go into detail about the new aircraft.

The new content was presented during gamescom 2021: The developers have focused on regions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the update.

With new aerial images, high-resolution elevation maps and 3D cities, the visuals are supposed to improve drastically. There will be about 100 famous places and several new airports. The new airports include: Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt and St. Gallen, all of which have been hand-developed.
