With the Challengers having completed their playoffs in each region, it is now clear who has qualified for the global offline event in the capital of Denmark.

Three teams from the EMEA region can look forward to participating in the Masters. First and foremost, Fnatic is back after a more than convincing performance over the entire stage. Jake “Boaster” Howlett’s team didn’t finish higher than eleventh in Reykjavík in April, but in the second stage of the European League, the team went undefeated in both the round robin and playoffs to put themselves in a strong position for the Masters.

In addition to the Challengers EMEA winner, FunPlus Phoenix and Guild Esports also qualified for the tournament.

Canadian Pujan “FNS” Mehta also managed to secure a spot at the Masters again with his team OpTic Gaming. However, the North American Challengers winning team of the last Masters tournament in Iceland had to admit defeat in the second stage playoffs to XSET, who had previously prevailed over FaZe Clan in the Lower Bracket.

The following teams are also qualified for the USD 500,000 tournament:

  • DRX (Korea Challengers) : Were able to fight their way to fifth to sixth place in the first tournament this year, where they then lost to ZETA Division
  • Paper Rex and XERXIA (APAC Challengers) : There were no changes in the APAC region, just like the tournament in Iceland, both teams were able to prevail against strong competitors like Team Secret or ONIC Esports.
  • Northeption (Japan Challengers) : For the team with two Koreans and three Japanese it will be the first appearance on the big stage. To date, the team has collected just over 10,000 USD in prize money.
  • Leviatán (LATAM Challengers) : After losing out to Ninjas in Pyjamas in the South American runners-up play-off, this time they qualified directly for the event.
  • LOUD (Brazil Challengers) : The absolute underdog was able to make a good impression on the big teams last time. Only against OpTic Gaming was it not enough in the final. The team will not be underestimated that easily this time.

The twelfth place in the tournament will still be played out between the second-placed teams from the two South American leagues. Ninjas in Pyjamas (Brazil) and KRÜ Esports (LATAM Challengers) will meet here on 30.06.2022.
