What is Premier?
Premier is a new competitive mode in VALORANT. In doing so, Riot aims to create a higher level of competition than ranked while providing players with a way to start their pro career from the comfort of their home.

How will Premier work?
In principle, any player can register with his team of 5 in the new mode. Similar to the Clash in League of Legends, there will be different skill divisions into which the teams are divided.
Together with your team, you will then play in weekly matches on pre-determined maps.
Win enough Premier matches and you will qualify for playoff matches where you will compete in a tournament against the best teams in your skill division.
The New Path to Esports Pro
But the new mode is not just a fun way to compete in new challenges with your friends.
Leo Faria, head of VALORANT’s Esport department, explains in the trailer for Premier that the mode is intended to provide a new stepping stone for players who aspire to a professional career.
Premier, according to Faria, will be the new pathway to the VCT Challenger Leagues, which are the professional VALORANT leagues for each region.
Until now, one had to qualify for the leagues via Open Qualifier matches. Premier is now designed to make it easier to get started, allowing players to play their way into the professional leagues from the comfort of their own homes and perhaps even earn their way to the Champions.
