Overwatch is back! With a big fresh start, five new characters were released in one fell swoop. But all the attention is focused on the overpowered Jetpack Cat. Just because a cat looks cute and fluffy doesn’t mean it’s tame. This is true not only in real life, but especially for digital cats with jetpacks on their backs!
The new hero in Overwatch, Jetpack Cat, purrs with all the victories he is responsible for—and most players are thrilled, albeit intimidated, by the fluffy ball.
The cat that delivers more reliably than DHL
Jetpack Cat appeared as part of the large-scale relaunch of Overwatch. The 2
in Overwatch 2 has been removed, annual story plans have been announced, four other heroes have been released alongside the cat, and more changes await players. You can read all about the big update in a separate news article.
Despite all these innovations—which, incidentally, are bearing fruit and bringing back crowds of players—the Jetpack Cat is the main topic of discussion on the internet. HairInMyBigMac wrote on Reddit posted a clip showing the deadly side of the Jetpack Cat.

The cat is actually a support character and is responsible for healing, among other things, but with a little creativity, she becomes a bombastic messenger. She can take one of her allies for a spin and heal them while doing so. Combined with D.Va, who can leave her suit behind with a self-destruct timer, Jetpack Cat has a deadly delivery in store for her opponents. You can see the result in the video above.
In the comments, users agree on one thing in particular: the Jetpack Cat is extremely powerful. Its movement alone is impressive, as the cat is small, fast, and can fly. It is a tough opponent, especially for players with poor aim. Its abilities are also remarkable in the right hands.
DangerQA , for example, is not at all impressed by Jetpack Cat and writes: Delete it immediately.
ErgotthAE on the other hand, the cat reminds us of the good old days: Silly, lovable, but with a terribly broken kit that becomes damn annoying for the opposing team? … That’s really what classic Overwatch is all about!
That’s also what Demonfr34k so. He feels that Jetpack Cat is the first character since Classic to bring back the original spirit of Overwatch. What do you think of the huge update to Overwatch? Have you also caught the hero shooter fever again, or has Blizzard already lost your trust for good? And if you’ve started playing Overwatch again, which hero do you think is particularly promising? Has the cat with the big eyes also captivated you? Feel free to write your thoughts in the comments!
