It’s the summer of game postponements. After Hogwarts Legacy, Warhammer 40k Darktide, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, it’s now the turn of the upcoming action title Evil West. Developers Flying Wild Hog and publisher Focus Entertainment announced via Twitter that the release of the gritty fantasy western will be delayed.

Originally Evil West, where you would control a monster-hunting gunslinger, was planned to be released in September for PC, PS4, PS5, One and Xbox Series. This multiplatform feature is also the reason for the postponement, because the game needs more work and fine-tuning than the developers thought at the beginning. It’s a normal process nowadays and it’s a good thing that game manufacturers have now settled down to only bringing games to market when they are completely finished.

With Evil West’s new release date of 22 November 2022, game quality and a lasting and memorable experience should also be guaranteed. After all, this is a postponement of only about 2 months, other titles have had it much “worse”. It will still be a while before we can go on a werewolf and vampire hunt with Jesse Reindeer in the desert, mining towns and the prairie, but the experience will certainly be much more rounded and fun.
