Popular streamer Ludwig Ahgren has announced that he will no longer be streaming on Twitch, but on YouTube Gaming.

With Ludwig Ahgren, one of the most successful streamers is leaving the platform Twitch and switching to competitor YouTube Gaming. The streamer shared the news of the switch on Twitter on Monday, where he attached a short announcement video.

In the video, a purple car that Ludwig previously appeared to be driving bursts into flames. Shortly afterwards, he changes to a new car that has a striking red colour. The video is to be understood as a metaphor symbolising the change from Twitch with the logo colour purple to YouTube with the colour red. It is the end of an era for Ludwig, as he had been active on Twitch since 2018, where he rose to become one of the biggest creators on the entire platform.

The streaming star also has over two million subscribers on YouTube. Even before that, Ludwig often talked about producing videos and often laid out his livestreams so that they could later be uploaded to YouTube as separate videos. Now, with an exclusive deal, he will stream directly on that platform.

According to the video, the 26-year-old will stream on YouTube for the first time on the evening of 30 November. Ludwig is not the first streamer to switch platforms – other content creators such as Courage, TimTheTatman and Valkyrae have also made the move and are still successful.
