EGA and (Creative Assembly) have recently released a fascinating video accompanied by exciting new information about TOTAL WAR: PHARAOH.

The stage is set for an unforgettable time. The era of Pharaoh Merneptah is drawing to a close, and the eager eyes of the Egyptian people turn to the coming leaders who will lead this great empire safely through the tumultuous times of the Bronze Age Collapse. Amidst the grim challenges, players are faced with a choice: should they support an iron-fisted ruler who rules with a hard hand? Or someone who promotes diplomacy and unity? Or perhaps someone who strikes unpredictably with cunning and guile?

Egyptian history holds a bloodline full of worthy contenders for the throne. Each of these outstanding generals promises a unique gaming experience and individual play style that will make conquering the land from the Sahara desert to the majestic banks of the Nile a memorable experience.

These are the powerful generals in Total War: Pharaoh

Seti, the rightful heir to the Egyptian throne, speaks only one language – that of war. His style of play is characterised by aggressive expansionism. By deploying countless troops, he hopes to overwhelm his enemies before his exceptional light and medium infantry delivers the decisive blow.

Tausret, Seti’s wife, however, harbours imperial ambitions of her own. A methodical genius, she forges elaborate economic plans to expand her empire and defeat her enemies. Using her vast network of resources, she raises powerful chariot armies to destroy her opponents.

Amenmesse, the Viceroy of Kush, is aware that true power over people lies not only in loyalty, but also in wealth. With his vast resources, he can either acquire strength or skillfully bring it to the negotiating table. With his powerful archers in tow, he plans to blot out the sun with a hail of arrows.

Ramses, the pretender to the throne, hopes to follow in the footsteps of his famous namesake, Ramses II. His armies are made up of young and ambitious warriors, small in numbers but a balanced and powerful force.
