Epic is once again giving away one of those little entertaining games for in between. You dive into the life of a little booze with a penchant for cherries.

Do you remember last week’s adventure game Botanicula? Epic Games is giving away a second title from Czech studio Amanita Design for your collection of games.

Chuchel is also a point-and-click adventure with funny characters and a slightly comic-like design. However, humor is at the forefront of this game, which features a booze as the main character.

Free at Epic: Chuchel

Genre: Point&Click adventure – Developer: Amanita Design – Release: March 7, 2025

(Get Chuchel on the Epic Games Store )

Chuchel is Czech and means something like “ball of hair and dust,” i.e., a fluff or a dust bun. As Chuchel, you set out on a journey to recover a stolen cherry.

There are around 30 varied levels, consisting of funny puzzles or short jump&run passages. It never gets particularly difficult.

Since there is no dialogue, the many jokes are either visual or rely on sounds and music. Chuchel also features several references to games such as Pac-Man, Tetris, and Super Mario

Along the way, you’ll encounter many absurd creatures, such as a mean pink jelly or a yellow elephant that is also a shower. There isn’t much replay value after the two to three hours, but no puzzles or jokes are repeated.

Our tester Elena gave it a score of 81 in 2018 and felt transported back to her childhood, watching Tom & Jerry cartoons on TV on Sunday mornings. This is because the levels in Chuchel are strung together like the connected sketches in the series.

You definitely have to get into Chuchel, but if you appreciate a little absurd humor and clever puzzles, you’re sure to find this game a little-known gem and a few hours of amusement.

As always, you have exactly one week, until May 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., to add the game to your library in the Epic Game Store for free. There is no DLC content.
