The Last of Us: First teaser for season 2 revealed

During the night, HBO spin-off Max unveiled the upcoming highlights of the next 12 months in a trailer lasting just under two minutes. This included a first look at season 2 of The Last of Us. Fans seem to be in anticipation and can’t help but comment accordingly.

Fans’ patience has finally paid off. In the recently released teaser for The Last of Us, we finally got a glimpse of the second season of the series. As previously announced,this will only take up partof the second video game.
Showrunner Craig Mazin explained that the plot of The Last of Us – Part II is so extensive that it has to be told over several seasons: “You look for natural stopping points, and this season the natural stopping point felt like seven episodes. “

Old acquaintances and new faces

In the second season of The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return in their roles as Joel and Ellie. New additions includeKaitlyn Deveras Abby, Catherine O’Hara and Jeffrey Wright. In particular, the return of Wright as Isaac, an important character from the game, is highly anticipated by fans.

In contrast, the mysterious role of Catherine O’Hara raises some questions. Her character seems to be a mixture of menace and compassion, which should make for some interesting conflicts. At the beginning of the trailer, her character Joel asks “Did you hurt her?”, which is immediately followed by the next question “Then what did you do?”. This is followed by various clips from the second season, which are finally summarized by a moved Joel with the words “I saved her.”

Fans react enthusiastically

After The Last of Us Part II received a lot of criticism from the community, the hype for Season 2 seems to be all the greater. Gamers within the community reacted accordingly and have already teased the upcoming content with various comments.
Comments such as “I feel bad for the fans who have never played the game. They have no idea what’s coming.” Another commented with “Get your golf clubs ready.”

The hype surrounding the second season of The Last of Us is understandable, as the first season was already a huge success. It reached 4.7 million viewers in the USA when it premiered and was nominated for 19 Emmys, even winning 8 of them.
It is quite possible that the second season will build on this success. The compact narrative style could benefit the series as it increases the intensity and drama of the plot. For many, one thing is already certain: season 2 will be an emotional rollercoaster ride
